Our Promise

The Nile Gourmet
Vanilla Promise.

Curated from exceptional single-origin, carefully selected vanilla from the lush highlands of Uganda, Nile Gourmet Vanilla™ represents the pinnacle of African vanilla.

Every bean is hand-selected at peak maturity, traditionally cured and conditioned over time, and meticulously sorted to meet our most exacting quality standards.

Only beans with exceptional length, aroma, texture, appearance and flavour earn the Nile Gourmet™ seal.

We serve food manufacturers, flavor houses, chocolatiers, bakeries, ice cream producers, chefs, and specialty ingredient buyers seeking distinctive Ugandan ingredients at wholesale scale. This is not simply vanilla.

This is African vanilla, elevated to an ingredient of distinction.

Every lot is carefully selected, quality-controlled, and traceable from its source to its final destination.

Direct relationships. Exceptional ingredients. Full traceability.

“If a buyer cannot see where it came from, we have not finished the job.”

What We Hold To

Four things we do not compromise on.

01

Fair Buying

We pay farm groups directly, at agreed prices, before the lot leaves the district. No middle layer taking a cut of their work.

02

Slow Curing

Vanilla is sun-dried and conditioned over weeks, not forced. It costs us time and it is the reason the aroma holds.

03

Independent Testing

Moisture, vanillin, and microbial compliance checked by a third-party lab. We publish the results with the lot, pass or fail.

04

Open Records

Certificates, phytosanitary paperwork, and shipping documents are attached to the batch, not buried in an inbox.

How We Got Here

Built one harvest at a time.

Key moments in building a short, documented chain from highland plots to export lots.

  1. 2019

    First harvest bought direct

Began buying from three farm groups around Fort Portal, cutting out the district brokers.

  2. 2021

    Curing facility opened

Brought sun-drying and conditioning in house, giving us control over moisture and aroma.

  3. 2025

    Batch traceability launched

Every export lot given a code buyers can look up, with documents attached.

Certifications

Documented per lot.

Certificates are tied to the lot you buy, not to the season. For each lot we supply the relevant documents, including the certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate, with the shipment, and publish them on the lot record when they are available.

If your market requires a specific certification, tell us when you request a quote or samples and we will confirm, in writing, what is available for the lot on offer.

Work With Us

Come and see the paperwork.

Request a sample and we will send the lot documents alongside it, so you can judge the crop and the record keeping at the same time.
